Girl's weekend

The ward father's and son's campout was Friday night, so Mark took Jayson. My mother in law came down from Logan and we girls had a lot of fun! (I am so glad to have finally ironed out the miscommunications with her and am feeling lots better about our relationship.) We enjoyed rocky road ice cream with dark choclate curls sprinkled on top. Then we played together in the playroom, dancing, rolling my big green pilates ball back and forth, and sliding down our slide (yes even Grandma went down the slide!) It was so funny to see Lizzy try to pick up that ball and try to bounce it, as it is almost as big as her. :) After that, I built a fire in our little ceramic firebowl outside and we roasted marshmallows. (Well, we actually put Lizzie to bed first.) We had a blast together!

On Saturday, we played outside until the boys came home. Our neighbor friends, Lissa, age 7, and Becca, age 3, came and joined us. We had skateboard races and Lissa is so fast, she beat me several times. Though Esther was often a close second on her tricycle. My mother in law later told me that she sure enjoyed our little friends, they are so well behaved and cute! (Good job, Laura!) When our men returned, we had lunch at the kids' favorite resturaunt . . .Bajio. After that, naps for everyone except Grandma and Esther, who watched the Little Mermaid together. Then it was off to Jenn and Brians house to finally meet little Paige, who is a real cutie, by the way. It was so good to see them again, especially my little buddy, Caleb. For dinner we enjoyed the Brick Oven and then Mom was off to Logan. Esther was really sad to see her go and had a good cry, while Jayson chased after her car for half a block yelling, "Grandma, come back!"

All and all a fun weekend. Thought you all might like to hear some good news for a change! Love, Susie
